Diner in High Springs

We stopped for dinner at The Diner last night after church. Perfect! Kind kind and efficient service! Yummy food too.:) we especially enjoyed the potato chip nachos. Next time we'll try their icecream shakes too.

It was really cool. I liked the groovy interior and the blue cheese and bacon burger I got. There is a varied selection with vegetarian options.

Very disappointed! After more than an hour, decided to leave as they never even started cooking our food. There were also 8 other tables waiting (some longer than me). The few times I have eaten there, the food has been pretty good. Just don't go on a Sunday!

Great staff and good comfort food. We were met and greeted at the door and seated, in comfort I might add. The place was spick and span from the dining area to the bathrooms.. Small town atmosphere is a norm here. I would recommend this place to my pastor or my mother! That's how good I believe they are.

Don't eat here unless you want to wait. over an hour for food. Asked waitress for order after observing several who got their meals before us. Found out they failed to place our order. I will not eat there again. Went to Alice's down the street satisfied with service and food.

My mother n I stopped her on our way back from the doctor office loved it the waitress was so awesome food was fantastic I even got a picture with our waitress they are so awesome friendly fast and the food was sooo good .my mother n I will be going here again .my new favorite place to stop n enjoy lunch and time spent with my mom.best place yet

Classic Americana Diner, home cooking with varied choice. Healthy salads and fried shrimp Po-boys, meat loaf or grilled fish. Some ethnic foods like gyros. Good place for social gathering

In one word: disappointing. It took over an hour to get our food. The orders weren't correct, and the taste was bland. Our drinks went missing for a little while. The overall feel is dirty and overdone. We will not return to the Diner, nor do we recommend it. Don't let the retro vibe lure you in, it's a facade.

Food was okay, and the ambiance was cool, but it took nearly an hour for the food to arrive (eggs, sausage, and toast). Wouldn’t go back.

I like stopping here for food when I'm in town or passing thru. Service and food is usually pretty good. Best part is they offer a 10% discount for scuba divers. Price is also pretty reasonable. I think I paid $5-6 for breakfast, can't beat that! Love the small town atmosphere

The food was good. We sat outside on the patio. Waitress was attentive. We shared the seafood platter & had enough left over to take a box home.

A classically decorated retro joint, they have a large menu with all of the diner classics and very reasonable prices. Delicious veggie burger and cold bottled beer. Friendly service. The Diner is a great place to stop and enjoy a meal while in High Springs or driving through the state (for example, it only is a brief detour from I-75 via exits 399 and 404).

The Hippie Hash (minus peppers) was fantastic! Enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food! Will be back!

Dirty, slow service, mediocre food, salt shaker completely plugged with gunk. Wait 30 minutes for basic 3 egg breakfast and another 20 minutes for the bill. Would not go back.

This place is great! The food is delicious! Their Club sandwich is the best I have ever had, anywhere!!! And, the burgers are A+!

We are here for Karaoke Thrusadys at The Diner. We enjoy their food, freinds of the Diner and Ron & Gail for their Karaoke services, Happy Trails. The salads are crisp and fresh with hearty produce. The chili has a smoky deep flavor. Excellent place to enjoy a Thursday night.

Great old timey style restaurant

An early Sunday destination breakfast, before the rush. Wonderful pristine clean 50's diner. The wait staff collectively stayed in top of our service, staying super friendly and attentive while we waited 40-minutes for the meal delivery. The food prep staff does outstanding meals in presentation, flavors, meal value, and work chef standards. Highly recommend this restaurant. Enjoy your time spent in conversation, nastalgia, and views.

We stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Sat on the patio since our dogs were with us. Place was maybe two thids full. Ordered the special,( should have been easy), got a pretty bad coffee and waited and waited and waited. After about half an hour the girl came out and said that the kitchen hadn't started our breakfast and it would be another 50 minutes. I paid for the coffee and we left, along with a few other tables. Doubtful we will return.

There said is always wonderful and so is the service. They have very affordable meals and a great atmosphere.

The definition of what I Iook for in a diner. The servers are busy because the food is good, and the tables are full. Breakfast all day, but the French dip is to die for. I'm officially a regular.

Awesome breakfast... The staff was so friendly.....I went a second time.... Our waitress was the best but it took forever for the food to come out... And everything was screwed up on our order.

Not a bad place needs to be cleaned. The waitress was great. Young girl that was funny and had a country accent.

My husband I were on vacation and camping at Ginnie Springs and was told by one of the workers to come check this place out. So we came for breakfast and it was great! Loved our waitress and the food. It was super cute on the inside. Super cheap, but was still great food. The only thing I had a problem with, was the grits... but I am just a picky person when it comes to grits, they have got to be fresh and I don’t think they were.

Cute and typical diner in a small town. Service was good. Food was excellent. Nothing greasy and cooked to perfection. So plentiful thAt we had no room for desert. They close pretty early; we left at seven and they were already storing chairs on top of tables and getting ready to close

The diner is really good home cooked food. My husband loves the eggs Benedict for breakfast. Kate Is An Awesome server.

The only place to go for real fish and chips (owner is English!). Breakfast isthe best. I love the Hippie Hash. Lunch is great too. The menu has wonderful Veggie selections for me and the Beyond burger is awesome!

The diner is deftly a 50's place. The dinner is a family owned business. It's right off the highway. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I had the country steak with gravy o boy it was vey good the waitress talked me into it. Im glad she did. They have a big selection on their meau.The waitress always refiled me soad cup she was right on it. Didn't have to wait that long. Nothing like good hot food while traveling. The dinner and bathrooms was very clean. The table was stocked very good didn't have to asked for anything. They have a outside patio.The food is very good and tasty. Lelf very happy will return again.

Great old-time Diner feel, good food at a reasonable price

Great atmosphere. A lot of effort went into designing the place to look as nostalgic as it does. Great staff. Excellent food. Pretty good prices.

Excellent. Started with large root beer float for appetizer. Could not eat all of popcorn shrimp platter with sweet potato fries. Will go back again next year during Alligator Warrior Festival at O'Leno State Park and River rise.

Loved it, funny waitress and cute place

This was my family’s favorite spot for a quick bite. Now it’s my husband and I’s. We got a yummy lunch and breakfast with the cutest coffee mugs and the service was fantastic. I highly recommend for some good food and good service ❤️ it’s very warm and inviting atmosphere and kid friendly

The food was amazing and the staff very friendly!!! They were actually closing when we pulled up and let us in anyways since no other place was open due to a power outage. I'm glad they did.. did I mention how good the food was. Just wish I lived closer

We stopped here today after paddling the springs and glad we stopped in. Fast, courteous, and a crazy good burgers. Honestly didn't look at the prices but I would def be back just for the quality. Super nice staff to.

The service is always nice and the food is great! They also have seating on the covered porch when the weather permits.

Decent diner food. However, staffing leaves something to be desired. Waitstaff arrived from parking lot, smelling like an ashtray, went direct to eating behind counter then serving. Never stopped to wash hands; this is a two-fold health code violation. Not attentive and socializing loudly with other staff behind counter. Heat was not on during this near freezing morning, most lights off too. I keep wishing this place would get its act together and be as great as it was in the mid-2000s.

They improve on a daily basis 👍 the ribeye is delicious, the kitchen staff takes Pride in their culinary arts , & the Waitresses Do a great job with customer service & provide a personal experience while your Visiting 👍👍👍 The owner Has came along way with this restaurant, was very rocky couple years ago Now He has a great family ♥️ staff That works together & it really shows in there food 😋,we are glad to have your services available for us to enjoy 😀 THINk It was good 😊😊
